A true example of hard-working design for a busy family of five—we helped revise this new construction home from the architect’s floor plan. What we came up with was the ideal combination of elegant and clever. We worked with local artisans on custom glass and steel doors that added separation while still feeling open and airy, custom cabinetry, casework and millwork that turned storage into a statement. Elements like the custom brass range hood and built-in shelving in moody hues serve as aesthetic landmarks, while a hidden mudroom and pull-out steps for the kid’s vanities maximize functionality.
